About Julie

Julie Busby may be a Houston native, but she has an unmatched passion for her adopted home of Chicago.  A resident of Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Julie loves having the best of the city at her fingertips, from world-class dining to lakefront recreation, to art galleries and boutiques.

The Buyer’s Specialist for Jennifer Ames Chicago, Julie is an attentive listener with more than 10 years of real estate experience.  She makes it her goal is to find each of her clients a property that perfectly defines what “home” means for them.  Julie graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing & Corporate Communications, where she had the opportunity to study abroad in London and Italy. After college, Julie moved to San Diego, California where she served as an Executive Recruiter and Consultant for Fortune 500 companies plus a Marketing/Advertising representative for a dotcom startup before launching her real estate career in 2003, working for one of the city’s premiere agents before striking off on her own and managing her own team for eight years.

Within her first year in real estate, Julie was nominated for “Rookie of the Year,” and “Top 30 Under 30 Amongst Real Estate Professionals.”  But, according to Julie, the most rewarding accomplishment she has achieved is being named a “FIVE STAR: Best Realtor in Client Satisfaction” three years in a row.  Since the beginning of her career, Julie has valued education as a way to better serve her clients.  In doing so, she has successfully received her Broker license in both Illinois and California, plus she is an Accredited Buyers Representative, ePro, certified in Short Sales/Foreclosures, and a Certified Negotiation Expert.

An avid traveler, Julie enjoys visiting Europe and making a yearly pilgrimage to Key West with her husband, a native Chicagoan.  She also runs My Chi, a blog dedicated to celebrating all the things Julie loves most about life in Chicago, including fitness, food, history and real estate.
